Welcome to the GLIA Homepage

The Gleason Lake Improvement Association (GLIA) is a volunteer organization working to improve the beauty and quality of Gleason Lake and its surrounding watershed. They have brought citizens, government and organizations together as partners to achieve their goals.

Strong partnerships created by this enduring grass roots organization are paying off for the Gleason Lake watershed. On the strength of those relationships, the GLIA, Hennepin County Conservation District, Minnehaha Creek Watershed District, and City of Plymouth have received a $23,500 challenge grant. The money will be used to develop a strategic Lake Management Plan to protect and improve the water quality, scenic and recreational amenities, and fish and wildlife habitat of Gleason Lake and its surrounding watershed.
